Advisory Board
Advisory Board of Decc comprises seven people. All the Board members are experienced and development oriented. They see to it that activities of DECC move on as expected. Democracy is well rooted in the Advisory Board. This enables the Advisory Board to quickly make decisions and reach consensus for policy implementation.
Background Of DECC
DECC which is “Development Concern Centre”, was established and registered with the Department of Registrar’s General in 2005.The Organisation was registered as a voluntary Non-Governmental Organisation to undertake developmental activities in both rural and urban areas. The Organisation is committed to the preservation and promotion of culture, tradition, film industry, drama industry and tourists’ attraction sites of people in the Northern Region of Ghana. Ever since its inception, the DECC worked with cultural groups, traditional dancers, local film actors, drama groups and identified some attractive tourists’ attraction sites. As part of DECC social responsibilities,
DECC organized micro credit training for marginalised rural women groups and assisted needy children to attend formal schools. DECC has made a significant progress in poverty alleviation, needy children education, preservation and promotion of traditional dancers, culture and identification of tourists’ attraction sites in the Northern Region of Ghana. |
